Traditionally, the groom sees the bride as she makes her way down the aisle. However, some couples prefer a more private or tender moment before the wedding ceremony begins. That is exactly what the Davenport’s decided to do prior to their ceremony. The White Room in Saint Augustine has a number of quaint, back-alley side streets that make the perfect setting for a first look.
This 4 minute video is called my “Pre-Wedding Storytelling Sequence”. I started shooting about 2 hours before the ceremony to get a few shots during the last stages of make-up before the first look happened. During the editing process of the pre-wedding video, I spend several hours watching and re-watching all the clips as well as listening to all of the small soundbites from family and friends. Then I set it to music selected by the couple. What you end up with is an emotionally charged, highly personalized video where the lyrics are telling a story, their family is telling a story which underscores the beautiful video images taken during the limited time available.
Just got my first review on the year on WeddingWire & TheKnot! Morgan wrote “We absolutely loved our wedding video! We even got a little drone footage in there which was great! It showed the whole venue from above. Everything was beautiful and we got to see aspects we would have missed otherwise from our big day (things I didn’t see before I walked down the aisle or things hubby didn’t see because he wasn’t around). We also loved the talking portions of the video. Johnny intermingles video of your big day with special words from your loved ones. The way the footage flows with the music selections, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Johnny was prompt and very easy to work with. He was even getting in some great pre-ceremony footage when us ladies were running late arriving to the venue from the hotel where we were getting ready. I know we were crunched for time because our venue does 2 weddings a day and in the video you would never be able to tell. He took all the best moments from our day and put them all in one place where we can revisit it time and time again. It truly is a work of art all families will cherish for years to come. We are so grateful and glad that we picked CC video to capture our big day. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
Thank you to the 72 couples that left reviews on TheKnot and the 34 couples that left reviews on WeddingWire!
